I have been making up stories for as long as I can remember, and some of them I even scribbled down, but as a busy mother of five I never got as far as finishing anything. So when, years later, my son Marcus asked me to write some short stories for his children’s publication ‘The Adventures of ROBOB’ I jumped at the chance. I enjoyed it so much that I thought I would try my hand at writing a proper novel. At that time my partner Steve and I had been living in a house in Dorking, Surrey, which was right on the edge of the Glory Woods and it was that beautiful setting that inspired ‘The Witches of Glory Woods’ series.
I have always read, anything and everything, from Jane Austen to Karin Slaughter. If I was ever asked what was my all time favourite book, I would have to say ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ by Noel Coward. I have read it many times and yet it still has the power to make me laugh out loud, but Jane Austen’s ‘Persuasion’ would come a very close second, oh and I love Patricia Cornwell’s ‘Post Mortem,’ and Jilly Cooper’s ‘Jump’ is fab! Ok, ok…actually I just love books, and reading…and now I find I love writing as well!
